A Newark woman is suing McDonald’s after suffering severe burns from hot tea, according to a lawsuit.
Dyanne Faison claims hot tea spilled on her last month at McDonald’s on Frelinghuysen Avenue. In the lawsuit, she says workers failed to warn her the tea was "unsafe and dangerous."
The lawsuit says Faison sustained serious and permanent burns as well as personal injuries requiring the care and treatment of physicians, hospitalization and medication.
News 12 New Jersey reached out to McDonald’s for comment but has not heard back.
