One man died following a shooting in Newark Thursday night, according to Essex County prosecutors.

Authorities say the shooting happened around 10 p.m. on South 10th Street.

Immediate details surrounding the incident and if any arrests were made were not available.

The Essex County Prosecutor's Homicide Task Force is investigating.
