Flights at Newark Liberty International Airport were impacted Wednesday by the smoky conditions caused by Canadian wildfires.
Flights both departing and arriving were affected by low visibility.
“I'm stranded here because I had to check out early from my hotel thinking I was able to catch an earlier flight," said traveler Omar Vasquez. "The air quality, visibility is effecting the travel."
As of 6 p.m., 258 flights had been delayed along with 34 cancellations.
