New voting devices that will make casting ballots easier will soon be headed to the Bronx and city.

The New York City Board of Elections, through partial compliance of the Help America Vote Act and a federal court order, will be placing several ballot marking devices in rooms at each of the board?s five borough offices. Elections officials say the ballot marking devices will help voters mark ballots with ease using a touch screen, audio ballot, sip and puff devices or rocker paddles. All of the devices on the machines will make it easier for those with disabilities to vote as well.

Board officials say the rooms in each of the offices will be available in time for this year?s primary elections on September 12 and general elections on November 7.
