City Council members are introducing a new program to improve bad housing in the Bronx. The "T-CEP" program is being created to fast-track fixes at buildings that are overflowing with violations. Housing inspectors will go in to examine the buildings from top to bottom instead of by individual complaints. Those in favor of the program want to see funding for the program increase allowing it to help more Bronx tenants. New funding would go towards hiring new inspectors and prosecuting delinquent landlords.
