A Kinnelon Girl Scout camp has added pickleball, the country's fastest-growing sport, to its list of outdoor activities.
Girl Scouts are now encouraged at Camp Rickabear's new pickleball facilities to work together on the courts and enjoy the great outdoors.
"Girl Scouting is based on four pillars. One of them is the outdoors," says Sandra Kenoff, president of Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey.
From archery to horseback riding, boating and pickleball, campers say there are endless outdoor activities.
"I feel like I've just accumulated a lot of skills coming here," says Girl Scout Caroline Gharibian.
For counselor Ruby DeFilippis, the Girls Scouts have shaped her personal development.
"I just love how it gives power to girls and how you're able to connect with others and really get outdoors. Girl Scouts can impact your entire life as you grow up," DeFilippis added.
