The New Jersey Department of Transportation decided to use a little humor to remind drivers to be safe on the roads.
Signs posted on some state roadways read “Safe driving shouldn’t be an alien concept.”
This popped up after Congress held hearings this week about UFOs.
The signs come following the federal government shutting down the DOT’s sassy roadside signs last year. The feds said the safety messages were getting lost in the jokes.
Safe driving practices have recently been a hot topic among lawmakers. The group Everytown for Gun Safety found that road rage incidents were on the rise across the country.
