The New Jersey Turnpike Authority is warning users about a text message scam going around.
In a Facebook post, officials showed a text message claiming to be from “NJ Turnpike toll services.” It instructs drivers to click on a link to settle a balance.
New Jersey Turnpike Authority says “NJ Turnpike toll services” is not associated with the transportation service.
Officials say, if you get a text message like this, delete it right away without opening it. If you did open it, contact your bank and credit card company.
