Sunny and breezy Sunday in New Jersey before midweek showers

New Jersey will see a breezy and mild Sunday, then temperatures jump into the 70s and 80s before rain returns midweek.

Skies clear out overnight, setting up a bright and breezy finish to the weekend. Sunshine returns Sunday, but gusty winds will make it feel a bit cooler at times despite temperatures climbing into the 60s.

A major warm-up follows to start the workweek, with temperatures surging well above average. Sunshine dominates through Tuesday, with temperatures pushing into the 70s and even low 80s. The pattern turns more unsettled by midweek, with increasing clouds and multiple chances for showers before cooler. Drier air returns late week.

Monday: Sunny and warm. Temperatures in the low to mid-70s.

Tuesday: Sunny and hot. Temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a chance of showers. Temperatures in the low to mid-70s.

Thursday: Showers likely. Temperatures in the upper 60s.

Friday: Sunny and breezy. Temperatures in the mid-60s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a slight chance of showers. Temperatures in the mid to upper 60s.
