This week marks National Teen Driver Safety Week across the country.

Auto insurance company New Jersey Manufactures Insurance is traveling the state to talk to teens about driving safely and about the dangers of distracted driving.

One presentation took place at Immaculate Heart Academy in Washington Township. Junior Gaby Turi says that she will apply the advice she learned to her driving.

"I've been taking safe driving classes since I was a sophomore, so there are always things that you learn, and there was a bunch of information that I haven't learned before," she says. "I just got a car two days ago actually, so I can really apply that to my driving."

The Centers for Disease Control says six teens between the ages of 16 to 19 die each day from motor vehicle accidents. Car accidents are the leading cause of death for teens nationwide, according to the agency.
