New Jersey residents find ways to escape heat during intense warmth

New Jersey is now officially in a heat wave as temperatures reached above 90 degrees for the third day in a row.

The summer may have unofficially ended now that Labor Day has passed, but summer temperatures are still around.

New Jersey is now officially in a heat wave as temperatures reached above 90 degrees for the third day in a row.

But many local pools are closed and lifeguards are no longer on the beach as the school year has begun, leaving some New Jersey residents to find alternative ways to stay cool.

One way is the splash pad in Lincoln Park in Jersey City. Hudson County has nine splash pads that will be open until the end of September.
