Some good news for anyone searching for love in New Jersey. The Garden State is the third best state in the U.S. for singles, according to a new survey.
The
ConsumerAffairs Research Team released a new report on the best states for singles. The survey says New Jersey is good if you're single because there are a lot of people to choose from, a vibrant social scene and a high median income.
The study took a look at population and income data, cost of living, housing indexes and opportunities for recreation and nightlife to determine which states are best for single people.
The report says 43.2% of the population is single in the state. It also says New Jersey has one of the lowest divorce rates in the country (8.4%).
New York nabbed the top spot for the best state in the country for singles, and West Virginia ranked in dead last.
