(AP) - A Morris County man has been charged with forcing a teenage girl into prostitution.

County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp and Mount Olive Police Chief Stephen Beecher announced the arrest on Thanksgiving of Michael Keenan.

The 23-year-old Mount Olive resident is charged with human trafficking, promoting prostitution and child endangerment for allegedly forcing the 17-year-old to meet men for sex in Mount Olive.

The alleged victim told authorities she was driven to the hotels during a 10-day span earlier this month. After she participated in the sexual acts, Keenan allegedly took a portion of the proceeds.

Bail for Keenan was set at $150,000. It wasn't immediately known if he had retained an attorney who could comment on the charges.
