The New Jersey Jackals have announced that they are moving to Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson.
Fans have been waiting to hear about the new location since the team announced their departure from the Montclair State University campus back in August.
The city of Paterson and Al Dorso, owner and operator of the Jackals, plan to improve the field, venue and local businesses.
“We anticipate working closely with the community, the mayor, the council. Anybody in this town that wants to work with us, we're willing to work with them,” said Dorso.
The professional Frontier League team will have 7,500 seats in the stadium. There will also be a restaurant with a museum and a nearby 120-unit residential complex with a parking garage.
They plan is to bring in concerts, kid camps, traveling teams and events.
The New Jersey Jackals will kick off a 96-game season in May 2023 at Hinchliffe Stadium.
