Emergency crews were on scene at the Costco in Hazlet following reports of a Freon leak inside the store.

Employees tried to ventilate the building. More than a dozen workers complained of headaches and nausea. Staffers were evacuated.

Emergency crews were checking patients and transporting them to hospitals.

The store was not open yet, so no customers were inside.

The location will be closed until further notice.
