New Jersey Catholic leaders unite in prayer for Cuban community

Cuban-American bishops say they support Cubans in seeking recognition of their human rights.

Leaders of the Catholic Church organized a prayer vigil Saturday in West New York to express their support of the Cuban community.
Cuban-American bishops say they support Cubans in seeking recognition of their human rights.
Bishop Manuel Cruz, of the Archdiocese of Newark, is of Cuban descent. He says, "We want them to know that they are not abandoned…and they are our brothers and sisters and we love them."
People from different nationalities came to the event with a message of solidarity.
