510ds agoAn annual schoolwide gift-giving event took place at Paul Robeson Community School for the Arts in New Brunswick.
Teacher Jennifer Olawski raised over $13,000 through GoFundMe to buy presents for hundreds of students at the school. News 12 New Jersey has reported on Olawski’s mission before. This is the sixth year that she has made sure every student gets at least one gift at Christmas.
"Just to bring some joy to them and make them smile and really just enjoy the holiday. I see how much it means to them and that's why I do it each year,” she says.
Olawski was the Middlesex Teacher of the Year in 2020. She plans to keep the tradition going for as long as she can.
