Middlesex County prosecutors say a man has been charged with killing his 20-year-old stepdaughter.
Prosecutors say the incident happened Tuesday on Juliet Street. They say authorities found two injured people: Lissi Rodriguez-Sanchez and Teodulo Habana.
Rodriguez-Sanchez, of New Brunswick, was found with multiple stab wounds and died at the scene, prosecutors say. Habana, 64, also of New Brunswick, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
Prosecutors say an investigation later revealed Habana is the stepfather of Rodriguez-Sanchez, and his wounds were self-inflicted. Habana now faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder.
Anyone with information or surveillance footage of the area should call Det. Delgado of the New Brunswick Police Department at 732-745-5200 or Det. Schroeck of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-745-3289.
