A thrilling display of speed,
beauty and precision took place in the skies over the Atlantic Ocean in front
of hundreds of thousands of spectators along the Atlantic City beach and
boardwalk.
Dating back to 1910, the Atlantic
City Airshow is one of the longest running aerial attractions in
the country.
Crowds came early and were estimated to
be between 500,000 and 750,000 strong.
“It's just a great experience,”
says Steve Trowbridge, of Jersey City. “Helps to build camaraderie among the
American people. You can meet the military, get to see them, know them, get some
merchandise and have a good time.
The Full Throttle Formation Team, the US
Army Golden Knights Parachuters, and the United States Air Force Thunderbirds all
came for the show.
