The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission announced that it has closed another office because an employee tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the total number of MVC locations closed to seven.
The latest facility to close is the Runnemede Vehicle Center. The Springfield and Delanco locations were closed on Tuesday. Other locations that are closed include Eatontown, Newark, North Bergen and Paterson.
The offices are being cleaned and sanitized and contact tracing is underway, according to MVC officials.
The Springfield location is expected to reopen on Friday. Delanco and Runnemede locations should open later this month.
The agency suggests that customers check the MVC website to see which locations are open and to see what type of business can be done online.
