A new musical featuring the inventor of the miracle mop, Joy Mangano, will open at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center.

News 12 is told the musical "Joy" depicts the early skepticism Mangano faced and hard lessons she said she learned in business when she started out.

Erika Henningsen, who appeared in Broadway's "Mean Girls," takes on the title role as the business icon.

"Joy" is scheduled to run through Dec. 30.
