Multiple crashes on Route 1 in Edison closed the highway for a time Monday afternoon.
All lanes have now reopened in both directions on Route 1 near Parsonage Road.
Police say three separate crashes happened in a short amount of time near the Menlo Park mall. One of the crashes involved an overturned truck. Another saw a pedestrian getting struck near Perth Amboy Avenue. That pedestrian was not seriously injured, according to officials.
Route 1 is fully open, but some traffic delays continue in the area.
