Authorities are searching for a missing woman in Island Heights who they say was last seen early this morning.
The Ocean County Sheriff's Office says they are looking for Karen McKenna. She was last seen around 4 a.m.
Multiple agencies and search equipment, including water vessels and state police helicopters all participated in the search over the last few hours. McKenna was last seen wearing a black jacket, white shirts and blue jeans, according to police.
Volunteer fire crews in the area were notified of the search before 8 a.m. to stage at Nelson's Marine Landing along the boardwalk.
Anyone with information contact the Island Heights police or the Ocean County Sheriff's Office.
