(10/13/06) THE BRONX ? The 4-1 Mount Saint Michael football team looks to knock St. Anthony?s (5-0) off their undefeated perch this weekend on Long Island.
Mount Saint Michael junior quarterback Jayson Holt knows the task will be difficult, but he says it?s not impossible. He believes if his team sticks to their game they have a very good shot of knocking off a team that hasn?t lost in league play since 1997.
The potent Mount Saint Michael offense ranks first in passing and third in rushing. Holt attributes much of the offensive success to his offensive line. He also says the defense has played smart and given the team plenty of chances to win.
