New Jersey will see mostly sunny and dry weather that will last through the Labor Day holiday weekend.
Storm Watch Team meteorologists say a heat wave is possible next week.
WHAT’S NEXT: Forecasters are still tracking the tropics and possible impacts of Franklin and Idalia this week. Rough surf and large swells are the most significant impact. The second full moon of the month – will bring exceptionally high tides to the Jersey Shore. A coastal flooding advisory is in place from 7 p.m. until 1 a.m. Thursday.
OVERNIGHT: Clear, becoming partly cloudy. Lows near 67.
THURSDAY: Another beautiful day under mostly sunny skies. Highs settle down near 78. Lows near 62.
FRIDAY: Sunny and comfortable. A perfect beach day! Highs near 76. Lows near 62.
SATURDAY: Sunny and slightly warmer than Friday. Highs near 81. Lows drop to around 54.
SUNDAY: Beautiful day with plenty of sun. Highs around 87, lows near 61.
LABOR DAY: Mostly sunny and warm. Highs around 91 degrees – the first day of a potential heat wave. Lows near 68.
