Friends and family gathered at a memorial service in Monroe Township Saturday to say goodbye to residents who died in a tour bush crash in Chile.
The 10 New Jersey victims lived at The Ponds retirement community. They are being remembered as a close-knit group of people who loved to live life to the fullest, despite their age. Funerals are planned for the victims in the days ahead. Two other Americans died in the bus crash Wednesday in Chile.
Authorities there say the bus driver fell asleep at the wheel. They expect to file charges against the driver, who is hospitalized with serious head injuries.
