Monmouth County Freeholder Director Tom Arnone says millions of federal dollars is now available for businesses. The money will be used to cover mortgages and rents for a three-month period beginning on March 1. Businesses with 50 or less employees will be eligible up to $10,000 in relief funds.
“We are looking forward to it and I can just promise the businesses I need your help and more importantly one thing I wanted to touch I will be on the call with all the mayors next week of all these municipalities because like we've worked together on everything else,” says Arnone. “My goal is to take them and let them spread the word out in their municipalities to their businesses as I know businesses in the county they know their businesses in the town.
Arnone says businesses can find more information on what's available through the CARES Act by going to the county website.
Applications can be submitted starting near the end of July.
