Today marks one year since the first confirmed case of COVID-19 in New York.
It was on March 1, 2020 when New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo made the announcement.
The 39-year-old woman from Manhattan is a health care worker and believed to have contracted the infection while traveling in Iran.
She returned a week before her diagnosis and began to experience respiratory symptoms.
