A Texas company provided a model airplane that uses a high-resolution camera to aid in the search for a missing Seaside Park Alzheimer?s patient Tuesday.
Julia Madsen, 72, disappeared nearly three weeks ago after taking a walk from her home.
The Equusearch company was asked to help find Madsen. It brought in a model airplane that uses special software to focus on the specific colors Madsen was wearing when she went missing.
The device is expected to speed up the search because it requires less manpower and can view things easier from above the trees and plant life.
Authorities plan to bring in search dogs at the end of the week if the plane is unsuccessful.
