The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is trying to learn more about the health of Bergen County residents through a mobile site.
A mobile national health survey exam center is set up in the parking lot of the Hasbrouck Heights Hilton.
The unit offers in-person health exams as it surveys residents about their health conditions and habits.
Past surveys have shown the harmful effects of lead paint and second-hand smoke.
"The response has been great. We are still interviewing people, so we have households that we are still trying to get to, but the response has been great and we hope it continues to go in the right direction,” says Ruthie Christian, the study manager.
The mobile unit will be in Bergen County until Sept. 29.
