(03/08/06) JERSEY CITY ? A Jersey City mother claims her missing daughter has been sending text messages pleading for help.

Stella Browne says her 13-year-old daughter, Natasha, sent a message Monday claiming she was followed on her way to school at P.S. 34 and taken captive. According to Browne, the text messages have been the only communication she?s received from her daughter. The mother says calls to the teen?s cell phone go unanswered.

Police have labeled the disappearance as ?suspicious.? Investigators are acting on a tip that the teen was last seen in Fairlawn, but they would not disclose how that information was obtained.
