A missing Long Beach Island college student has been spotted four states away.
Police have confirmed they have video of Amy Scott, 21, making a phone call Sunday from an Illinois pay phone. Scott was last seen driving with her boyfriend near her college campus in Providence, R.I. six days ago. Family members say the news has eased some fears.
"At least we know she's alive," says her father, Skip Tool.
Scott's boyfriend, 22-year-old Dan Querzoli, filed an assault complaint against her about 10 hours before the two were seen driving off. According to police, the complaint was filed after an argument over Scott's cocaine use.
The car the two were seen driving in belongs to Querzoli's roommate at Bridgewater State College. The mother of the owner has reported the vehicle as stolen in an effort to help find the couple.
Anyone with information on the pair's whereabouts can contact Providence police.
