As the weeks tick by and those lazy, hazy summer days become a little shorter, there's still plenty of action to be found at Six Flags Great Adventure and the Six Flags Wild Safari in Jackson Township.
News 12's Jim Murdoch started Friday morning taking on one of the park's newest thrill rides - the Jersey Devil Coaster. Opened in 2021, it features a nearly 90-degree, 13 story vertical drop and hits speeds of 58 miles per hour along the two-minute trek through the Pine Barrens theme.
New this summer: Six Flags Flavors of the World - where you can sample delicious food from India, France, Greece, Mexico, Italy, Korea, and the Caribbean. Flavors of the world is located near the big wheel and the main fountains every Friday through Sunday through Aug. 13, from noon to 8 p.m.
It won't be long before the spooky decorations come out as Six Flags welcomes 30 years of Fright Fest on selected nights from Sept. 8 through Oct. 31. From Sept. 17 through Oct. 30, enjoy classic German food and brews with the park's Oktoberfest celebration.
