(11/01/06) MIDDLETOWN - Police arrested a Middletown High School bus aide for allegedly providing a teenager with a drug that put the student in the hospital Monday.
According to police, 35-year-old Parrish Jones, of Keansburg, worked as a bus aide for Milu Transportation of Matawan. Police say Jones either gave or sold methadone to a 15-year-old Middletown student on the bus. They say the teenager ingested the drug on the bus and had a medical emergency in the school, where nurses brought him back to life.
Jones was suspended from his job and is charged with four felonies. He is being held on $10,000 bail at Monmouth County jail. The student, whose name was not released, remains hospitalized.
