Baseball fans may soon be able to attend Yankees games in the Bronx on a Metro-North train.
According to the New York Post, Metro-North officials are interested in building a station at the proposed new Yankee Stadium. Officials say they must first see the stadium plans approved before they find funding for the new station.
Officials say a Metro-North station near the stadium would also bring more shoppers to the planned Bronx Terminal Market. The cost of a new Metro-North stop is unclear, but the Post reports there could be more than $2 million of federal money set aside for planning and starting the project.
