? Firefighters from across New Jersey remembered their fallen comrades with a service at the Diocese of Metuchen.
Firefighters from 20 municipalities attended the mass Saturday in a show of solidarity and brotherhood. One firefighter said he feels like the public has forgotten firefighters since September 11th. The bishop believes that is why the service is important, to let those who put their lives on the line know they are appreciated.
Metuchen firefighter James Ratcliffe was honored at the ceremony, along with four other fallen New Jersey firefighters. Ratcliffe?s son, who is also a firefighter, was in attendance.
