A Manchester Middle School teacher was struck by lightning while standing outside during Wednesday’s snowstorm.
Manchester police say that the teacher was standing outside working bus duty for dismissal and was holding an umbrella. Two teachers were also standing under the umbrella at the time, but police say that only the teacher holding the umbrella was affected.
Authorities say that the teacher did not lose consciousness, but did report a tingling feeling in the arms and hands.
The teacher was taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center to be checked out, but is expected to be OK.
