Man wanted for assaulting woman walking 2-year-old child in Howell
Police say she was approached from behind, placed in what's being described as a chokehold, and then thrown on the ground.

Police in Howell are searching for a man they say assaulted a woman who was walking with her 2-year-old child.
According to police, the woman was walking the child in a stroller when she was assaulted on Pinewood Road near Cecilia Court around 5 p.m. Monday.
Police say she was approached from behind, placed in what's being described as a chokehold, and then thrown on the ground. When she screamed for help, that's when they say the suspect ran away.
Howell police were able to get a picture of who they believe is the suspect. He was seen on dash camera in the area at the time of the incident.
Police say prior to the incident he was in this neighborhood of Pinewood Road, Cecilia Court, Violet Circle, and Poppy Lane for an extended period of time.
The incident remains under investigation.
Police are asking for home security footage or dash cam footage from the area and for residents to report any suspicious activity.
