A man sought in connection with antisemitic stickers that appeared on properties throughout Princeton has been identified, according to police.

The Princeton Police Department had asked for the public's help identifying a man suspected of placing stickers containing antisemitic propaganda at various locations in the community.

Investigators said the materials appeared to target specific properties and contained messages intended to intimidate, harass or promote hatred toward members of the Jewish community.

Police previously described the suspect as a middle-aged white man with pepper-gray hair and glasses who was seen wearing a tan shirt, gray shorts and black sneakers while riding a light-colored mountain bike.

In an update, the department said the man was identified with the help of community members who shared the department's social media post and provided information.

Police have not released the man's identity.

Authorities also have not said whether any criminal charges have been filed.
