A 91-year-old man from West New York was killed after crashing into a tractor-trailer on Route 80 in Wayne, according to state police.
The crash happened Monday afternoon. Police say Francisco Crespo was driving a Toyota pickup truck west on Route 80 when he somehow lost control, drove off the road and hit the center guardrail.
He then tried to reenter the lanes when he was struck by a tractor-trailer and collided with the guardrail again, police say.
Crespo was taken to a nearby hospital and died a couple of days later.
