A 20-year-old man is facing murder charges after a shootout at a Newark recording studio earlier this month.

Naim Andrews is charged in connection with the death of 20-year-old Namir Bynum.

Prosecutors say that Andrews and another man – identified as Osayuwamen Iyamu – attacked Bynum. They say Bynum, who was trying to defend himself, fatally shot Iyamu during the exchange.

Andrews and a fourth person were also injured during the incident.

Andrews remains in the hospital, according to officials. The fourth person was treated and released.
