A bicyclist was killed Monday in Manchester Township after being hit by two cars.
Police say 54-year-old Joseph Slover, of Whiting, fell off his electric bike while traveling westbound on Route 530 and then he was run over twice.
The two vehicles involved, a gold 2004 Ford Taurus and a green 2008 Nissan Sentra, were located at the scene of the crash with minimal damage, police say. They say the Ford, traveling in the same direction, hit Slover while he was on the ground. Shortly after, the Nissan hit Slover.
Police say 28-year-old, Dylan Coyle, of Whiting, was driving the Ford, and 70-year-old, Gary Paszek, of Toms River, was driving the Nissan. There were no reported injuries to the drivers.
The investigation is ongoing, but police noted bicyclist error and low light conditions seem to be the cause of the accident.
