The man charged in a security breach at Newark Liberty International Airport has been ordered to undergo a psychological evaluation.
Andrei Kuzmin, 43, was taken to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center for psychological evaluation and released. He apparently told police he was being chased when he came running through Terminal C at the airport Sunday night. Kuzmin apparently entered the terminal through a secure door, leading to a lockdown.
The breach caused 42 outbound flights to be delayed 20 to 90 minutes. Three inbound flights were held at their gates for about an hour.
Kuzmin has been charged with criminal trespass, creating a false public alarm and interference with transportation.
