Man accused of stealing mandolins in Teaneck returns them with apology note

A man accused of stealing from a Teaneck music store earlier this week has returned the instruments.

Two mandolins were stolen from Lark Street Music on Monday. The owner says that the man who stole the instruments returned them Friday. The man also dropped off an apology note.

The note read, “Sorry, I been drunk. Merry Christmas. You are good man,” according to a social media post.

The store owner says the instruments were dropped off in two shopping bags. He says the alleged thief then ran off.

Police are now looking for him.
