It's Friday and time for another edition of Main Street, New Jersey. Our Lauren do is highlighting local businesses in Morristown. So Lauren coffee first. Now it's time to eat. It's time to eat. It is Taco Tuesday on a Friday guys. We're at Central Taqueria. We have Raul here. You bring in Mexico City Tacos, Morristown. You're really proud of this spot. Absolutely. This is what we're doing where the whole idea of this concept is to bring the food, the street food from Mexico City to Morristown. In this case, this is uh everything that we do. We are very proud of all these projects. We work very hard on getting authentic recipes from my home country and then bring everything, doing everything from the scratch. We do the tortillas in the house, we do the salsas in the house, the fresh waters, everything is going from the scratch every day and it's very fresh and very, very proud of this, all these projects and who's in the house this morning. So in this case, we have Roberto. Roberto has been doing the pastor for many, many years. He's 23 years old, but he's been doing this for more than 10 years. Look how easy that cuts. Oh, wow. This is a very popular dish in Mexico. And then on the other side, we have as well. Charlie, which is our guy from, uh, marketing in Mexico as well. Well, what do you say? We give some of these tacos? Let's give it to the mayor here. We have the mayor of Marist Town. We have Jennifer, the executive director of the partnership with Marist Town. You come here a lot. Yeah, you, you can't beat the food here. This is real authentic Mexican City food and, and it's like I said before um we, you bring, you don't have to go to Mexico City. You can just come to Marist Town and get authentic Mexican food. You don't even need a passport to come here and you know what, Raul? You wanna invite everyone tomorrow, right? What's going on tomorrow? Yeah. So tomorrow is our first anniversary. Uh We're very proud of everything that we're doing. So tomorrow we're gonna have mariachis at 6 p.m. We're gonna have free tequila, free churros. Wait, wait, wait, wait, rewind, free. What? Free tacos, free mariachi, free tequila and churros. That's amazing. And also, wait, I know today's Latin. It's uh you can't have meat. So we also have vegetarian options too. So we have vegetarian options that we can transform them as well. In veggie options, we have cactus, Puerto velo mushroom and veggie options. So all of the, our options are really good, either if you're a meat lover or veggie or vegetarian. Look at that. We are a nonprofit organization that looks and operates like a coffee shop. Our mission is to employ adults with intellectual developmental disabilities and we operate just like a typical shop would, but again, empowering individuals with some adversity to employment, to come and get gainful employment and some very lucrative training. That's amazing. How's the response from the community? Ben? It's been astounding. We started out in Falls in 2019. Pam Donovan, founded in honor of her son. She wanted him to have a place to work because after you're 21 you leave public education and it was a nice clip that you kind of fall off of. Um So it's been a profound opportunity for us to come to Morristown, such a thriving community. How long have you been here? It's only been since November 30th. We are Brandy New and this town is amazing. This is basically my hometown. I love it. And we have Mike over here, Mike. You're one of the artists. What kind of coffee did you make over here? So today we I just made a, a flat white, just a standard espresso drink. And you love working with everyone here. Yeah, it's one of the best parts of my job is working with all these individuals and all these new people. It's great. And you know what also I think is great. I'm gonna make Mark back pedal a whole lot because I wanna show you all of these hopes and dreams for the New Year. This one though. Hopefully we could get some of that for the weekend for good sunny weather. So I think we're gonna have to come back here in about 30 minutes and we got to talk to more of them. It's Friday and that means it's time for main street, New Jersey once again and our Lauren do has been highlighting businesses in Morristown. She's at Just Jersey. So Lauren, everything about Jersey is there, Lauren. Ok. This is just Jersey and look at this. I think I have the wrong side. It's not pork roll, it's still her ham. How amazing is this pillow? This place is all about Jersey. We have Paul, we have Tina, ok. Just Jersey. How does this work? So we start, we in our 10 and we work with local makers, artists and other small businesses all around the state, which is where we source our products. So everything goes back and supports a New Jersey based small business. So we have all different kinds of things here. Home Decor, gifts, bath and body, wonderful food products from Jersey. Jersey shaped macaroni. Would we be without it? That's amazing. And you have gift boxes here. We do have gift boxes where we pulled together some of our favorites. We have the Italian sampler. Sure to please. So we've kind of picked some of our things that we feel represents New Jersey. Yeah, this definitely does. Are you Taylor Ham or pork roll? I'm Team Taylor Ham. Ok. And the popular items you have are the coasters too. Yeah, we, we've got all kinds of, um, products. Look at this pretty much any need and every town that you can, 65 towns in New Jersey, not every product is offered for every town. Shout out to Randolph. All the cool people are, they are, you know what? You know it, a little Jersey attitude. Don't make me go all Jersey on you just to ask what that means. You're lucky not to know. Some items are made as close as Morristown at the Glassworks studio right down the street. And uh some of our more popular items are the Taverne Marble Coasters. They're a little fun. Some of them are a little edgy. I see you're editing there. Well, there you've been edited there. We have the mayor, we have Jennifer. What are you guys shopping for? Anything in particular? Fats from uh naked botanicals? They come to our farmers market. Um And great soaps. Uh This is really terrific. You can get anything you want in the store all from Jersey. You know, it's, it's great. There's so much stuff you could pick from. I believe me in my house. You find all kinds of things. You know, I'm always getting gifts here. It's great. Well, you know what, let's invite everyone to come down here. Definitely come to downtown. Worst time we do a lot of great shopping and no matter if you're Taylor Ham or team pork. Um It used to be the home of Scotty's Records, but now 23 South Street is 23 South. Uh We love being back in Morristown. We love um taking care of our customers and um you have a lot. You, this story is huge and you have jewelry to home goods, everything. So um Brighton is the base of our store. Um, they're a lifestyle brand but they're predominantly jewelry. Uh Maryland curates all of our jewelry lines very carefully. Great job because the store looks amazing. And uh we have quite a few jewelry lines but um we wanna highlight a couple. We have steer jewelry over here and that's a New Jersey business too. It is a woman owned New Jersey business. We like supporting her then as well as little Word project over here. There's also a woman owned New Jersey business and you're telling me that this bracelet here, Queen you can only get here, only get it here. YOGAHIT

OK. Last stop here, it's gonna be some yoga. We're gonna be peaceful. Now, we're at TV, yoga house. We have Tara and Tara. Good morning. I'm gonna let you take it away because you've been at TV, and you're a pro at TV, you're a pro at yoga. How did this all come about? Um, well, my career in TV was a entertainment news reporter and producer for over 35 years and uh experienced some rounds of layoffs. And so, uh I was going around to uh teaching some yoga and I thought if I could pivot in life and teach yoga full time that making people happy would make me really happy. Um So through a beautiful wave of uh events that happened in my life TB, yoga came about and here I am. So seven days a week, um teaching yoga and making people happy and the community helped you get here too. Right. Correct. Yes. Uh two of my friends sue and Mary really helped to sort of initiate that. Um they knew that I was looking towards opening a yoga studio and this time last year they um put together uh a brunch in in my honor. And I spoke and I told my story and uh people came and threw past the crown, which is my friend who's, um for profit charity, uh, helped to raise a little bit of money. And uh I found the place and here I am, I was in here with my daughter pulling out carpet and scraping wallpaper and doing all kinds of things to get it ready. And, um, it'll be here, April 17th that open the doors here right in the heart of Morristown. That's huge. That's a big deal. And you have the mayor's support. The mayor hasn't, he's never done yoga before. We're trying to get to do yoga, a tree pose. Can we get something? Does he know what a truth? There, there we go. We forgot a post, the answer. Maybe we're breaking, we're breaking the, the, the Zen here. But you have a great community. Look at everyone that showed up here. Listen, I've lived in Morristown for uh 19 years and um there was no question that I would open a studio here in Morristown and to find it right in the center on community place. Um to build a community with inside the community has um really just burst my heart open wide and the people are coming here obviously to do the physical practice of yoga. Um But they're finding something else. They're finding a sense of community, they're finding a sense of calm and you know, they're getting out of their crazy hectic lives. Um And then they're also building strength and flexibility and, and mindfulness and all the things that come along with yoga. But I'm also trying to take the stigma out of yoga um in the sense that, you know, it, it, it really is for everybody. There's, there's things that everybody can do and um and that's what we teach here uh at TB Yoga House to, to let people know that yoga is not this scary thing. They all don't look like, you know, models and ads standing on our heads where, you know, it's real people doing things just moving their, just moving their body, you're just twisting, breathing, moving their body. This is great. Well, that is your matt. It is so nice to meet you. Thanks for welcoming here. And what do you say? We sit down and we start breathing. So we do, Mark, you gotta come down too.
