Nick. It is time j it is, it is time for a bagel that we are this morning and look at this. The trade is also coming to. So this is the perfect spot for commuters right across on the bars, like train station. Let's go in and let's go meet everyone here this morning. Good morning. Everyone. Time for big. Yes. Absolutely. What's going on here? So, we've been open since 1996 since 2020. It's been fully a family run business. Um, I was running it now. You? Yeah, absolutely. And my twin daughters come here all the time. So they're the next generation. And it's so funny because your twin daughters are basically the same age as when your dad started it. Right. Yeah, I was too. They're two now. So it's, we're starting them young. You'll see them behind the counter. Sometimes you pressing buttons and we invite the manager here. I mean, do you love working here? Oh, absolutely. Yeah. It's been a great time. I've been here since 2020. Um, and, yeah. Yeah. To me it's a great place. The community's great. So, yeah, I just love being here and you said that you were really busy when commuters were going, now that everyone's going back to work and everything because this is starting to pick up again. Yeah, it's been great. I will show everyone around this morning what bagels are amazing. Yeah, look at this. I mean, so iconic. This is basically the same place since 1996. We have everybody here this morning recipe hasn't changed cream cheese flavors, just kind of added in, but nothing has changed since then. Just kind of the look, the decor, we've changed up, but everything else has stayed the same since opening. And your dad, what's it like going in a bagel shop? I'm not sure it's been good. It's been good. I'm glad my daughter has taken over and I just want to be behind the scene. If they ever needed help, they could call me and take care of the grand kids, right. Take care of the grand kids. That's my thing. Ok. So I got breakfast this morning. Yes, absolutely. So we got some of our popular is here. We got a Nova bagel, we got egg and cheese with a hash brown and a turkey sandwich with the B. Come on down. How many B do you make a day and a week in a week we make 15,000 bagels B. This is where it all done. Right. Yep. So they start in our machine right over here. Put all the ingredients in, they get mixed up and then we put them right on the table and the same guy that's been rolling the bagel since 96 is still here today. And then once the bagels are nice and prod, they go right into the water, boil them up, pop them in the oven, cook them on side, flip it over, come out hot, fresh and ready every single day. I love it. Look at all these people here. You want one Plains this morning? I'm pretty ushered in. I love Mars Plains Jersey. I never say no, no, no. It looks fantastic. Those sandwiches were monsters more to come with Lauren.

Well, we made it to Friday and for mainstream New Jersey, we are in Morris Plains this morning. Our Lauren do is highlighting local businesses there starting with some bagels at a popular spot earlier and now Lauren, what we got, we are going to work out Nick. So dear Nick. Listen up everyone at home. We're with Enrico here for E fitness. What does that stand for? Fitness is for everyone needs to be effective, enjoyable, efficient and should be doing it with an expert. Exactly. And that's what you do. You trade everyone one on one because everyone is different. Absolutely. And you got the key to success. You just opened up about a year ago. Yes, Mayor Carr gave us the key to success when we moved right to Morris Plains, moved into the community of caring and introduced us to the awesome community that we have. Let's give Mayor Carr a shout out because he, but he's so great. He's looking at us up with everything. Welcome news 12 to Morris Plains, a community of thank you, Mayor. We appreciate it. You got my, I got my pants in here. I'm good to go. All right. So let's come on in, let's go. Thank you. We're gonna watch our step here. You got the pumpkin guy that you can punch in the face if you want it. Right. Yep. So we do some cardio kick boxing, different things like that to make sure that everything is catered specifically to individual. So you Lauren, unlike everyone else that's out there, unlike your twin sister, your body activates a little bit differently and you enjoy things a little bit differently. And that's why I try to cater everything to the individual, whether you're looking to use a Polis Reformer machines, dumbbells, bar bells, making sure that I have the proper modalities to keep you interested and engaged and get the results that you're looking for. It's so funny that Pilates, I just start doing Pilates. Oh, I saw you on the Reform Club. Pilates a couple of weeks ago. Who are these people on the wall? So this is our £100 club. One of the things that I find to be absolutely amazing and inspiring to me personally. And I think everyone should find that inspiring is when people lose 100 plus pounds in about a year without any drugs, without any surgeries. Just hard work, great diet and awesome motivation. And you know what is awesome too is that all these machines that wires all these things all look so intimidating and you make it not for them. Well, the key is to introduce people into exactly what they're looking for. That's why you don't see a lot of big box squat racks or anything like that. A lot of people come to us and they're not exactly comfortable working out right away. So we wanna make sure that we start them off. Nice and easy, be just using little dumbbells might not use anything at all. Sometimes we just start out with the, some rehab work, whether people have shoulder injuries or anything like that, we wanna make sure that what they're doing fits where they're at right in that moment, whether they're looking to be an elite performance athlete or they're just looking to keep up with the grandkids, whether they're looking to join the £100 club or they wanna add 10, 10 to £20 of muscle and you know what's also pretty great too is you say you do this on demand? So anyone wants to come to you, they just come and they ask you and you go around their schedule. Right. Absolutely. A lot of our clients are busy professionals that sometimes they need to be in the office at 67 in the morning. Sometimes they need to be there until 10 o'clock at night. So, regardless of what their situation is, we have to be there and available to them. Could you imagine if you're trying to go to a gym and you can't work out like I, I need to work at it for him. I got nowhere to work at. Well, come on, how hard is that? We have to make it as easy as humanly possible for you to hit your goals and we have to make sure that you do it because you need to do it. That's why I tell people they need to train like an athlete because your goals need to matter to you. They do your body's worth millions of dollars. Right. Nick. Lauren after you know, having a bagel and then working it off at the gym. We are, I thought you were gonna just like Lauren, you need to get your hair done. But we are gonna go inside. Let's go into Bliss Hair Studio by Terry. Good morning, Terry. Your husband's here too little support this morning. So tell me about bliss. Um This is my salon. I started this when my youngest went to kindergarten and so we in February will be in business for 12 years and um there's about seven of us full time part time. Yeah. And uh we do all things hair and uh and we do eyelash extensions and we do makeup and um a lot of a lot going on. I mean, this is pretty great. You can see all the, the hair dyes they have over there, all the mixing that goes on. That's so fun. And you got a big event tonight too. The whole borough you carved up your pumpkin. We got our pumpkin, we've got the, uh, Mars Plains downtown. Uh, the first illumination we've ever had. So that's gonna be a lot of fun. Let's see what the night brings. What are the popular styles here? Like, what do you do here? Uh, popular style. So, we do Vivids. We do a lot of beach waves. Um, we do a lot of foliage. Uh Bali, we do, um, men, women and Children. We are the full service salon. Really? Yeah. Yeah. Our clientele, uh, varies so much. Um, yeah, we do the, like crazy Vivids to like, you know, a blowout and curls and, you know what? It's so hard to get hair appointments. Do you have any availabilities if someone's looking to come on in for the holidays? Yeah, I've been doing hair for like, 30 years. So, like, I'm, I, I never have a dull or quiet moment but when I do as the owner, I know what to do with my free time. But, yeah, we are definitely when they leave today we're like, want to book for the, the holidays because you want to get in. We don't want them disappointed. Let me tell you this place you walk in, it's so calm. Plus the dog, I mean, what a great spot you have here. So what do you do here? We do flowers for any kind of events for like uh lobbies, restaurants, uh any type of events and, and you know what's so great is that? You do it all here too? I mean, II I gotta show you on this place. This is great. Any plans for house office or kids, any type of, of, of plants? And you were saying that your flowers they're coming in today today. All the flowers come in today. My delivery is Monday and Friday. So, so, so if you want a fresh flowers, you have them right now. You got to come in later later this morning. Good morning. Yeah, you can enjoy the plants. This is beautiful. And you got the orchids and what is this? This is so tall. That's a complex delphiniums. They come up in the front and this, I mean, I grew up with the, the, oh, this is 80 years old. It's like really old. Somebody very special for me giving it to me. So, that's really nice. Yeah, the greenhouse. It's beautiful. I love it. I mean, you could just walk around so anyone can just come in and ask like, hey, I want this and everything is pet friendly. Like Swiss cheese is really cool. This grow very fast or it is like very easy to take care of cactus and all pet friendly too. For dogs fighting, everything is pet friendly. That's great. And which everyone we've been talking about M plains. They have a big ceremony coming up today and everyone's doing all these pumpkin carvings and there's your pumpkin. Pretty cute. It's very nice. Well, yes, it is Friday and that means it's main street, New Jersey. And today we're in Mara's Plains News. 12, New Jersey's Lauren de is showing off some of the local businesses there and she's been to several places. The salon bagels gym. What's next? We are going to be seeing 2020. That's what we're doing this morning. We're talking to Mike. Yeah, that's right. I mean, you've been around since 1973. Yes. Yes, we have. And you been here a long time and going to be here a little longer. I'm not ready to hang it up yet. You love what you do? Yeah. Come on in the shop on, in, come on in. Going first. I love this. Still hang out with us too. By the way, he's given us the tour, the community of caring. It is the community of caring. And, yeah, this is my little optical shop and as you can see, we keep it, like I would say we keep it like a library. Try to keep it cozy for our customers. I love the chair. Yep. And we have generations of customers. That's my, my strength is, uh, you know, they keep coming. I always say I'm very fortunate they keep coming. And, uh, you know, we're part of the community and uh people that have moved away. I even mail glasses to about 15 states that you've been around. You just celebrated your 50 year anniversary. Yes, we did. We, we had a big party here and, uh, again, we had a tremendous, uh, uh, just a tremendous time and many, many people showed up and we celebrated with champagne and great food desserts, cookies. We had one of the race cars out front. So it was a good conversation piece. And uh yeah, I hope to be here many more years. That's it on the back too because that's what makes it so great going to a hometown place because you, you do it in the back here. Yes, that they offer you, by the way, look at this. This is, this is the right. This is again for anybody that's in this business. I'm sure there's some people watching that are in the optical trade. Some of this stuff will look familiar, but this is where we do our magic where we take uh we take materials and put them together, fabricate. We cut our own lenses, polished lenses, tint lenses, sunglasses, uh Anything anybody wants. We used to do binoculars and stuff too, but you can buy those just about anywhere. A shout out to hang out with us, the mayor hanging out. We're hanging out with Mike before and that's his wife over there. I mean, the whole community is coming out. Absolutely. Yes. It has been here since the 1950 it's just the place to come, the place to hang out since the 1951. What it looks like it? I it's all original for the most part. You got the proper. How do we look? Are we good to go? You're good to go. You're perfect. I love this. This is so great. This is our main dining room. I mean, the, the table cloth. Yes, everything, the bar, the floor, the ceiling, everyone in the back this morning ready for us here here. Well, it's ok. Let's talk about these desserts, we gotta get right to it. I mean, like what are these? This is our carrot cake. We have our chocolate mousse pie. We have our cheesecake and our peanut butter pie and our famous Irish coffee and everything is baked in house by our baker Leanne. So when they say, do you want dessert, you never say, never say you always go for it and then you're the manager here. What do you make here? Because you got it from Arthur's. You gotta have the steak and you gotta have pickles on the table, right? So everything is made by Paco. Paco. You're the man behind the steaks. Yes. What's the secret love does that? So what else? OK. So what do we have here? So the thing you got to try anytime you come, an author's first thing onion soup. That is the thing to start out with. That is our best. Um We also have our chili too. New Jersey dot com is ranked the number one chili, New Jersey. And how good are your steaks? You have the nachos? I, I've had these before too. They are absolutely perfect. And we have our sea food combo which is salmon, shrimp, crab, cake, rice. And we have our favorite ribs with the artist logo written on it. Oh, look at that.
