We are in Manville for today's edition of Main Street, New Jersey. Our Lauren de is covering local businesses there. Yeah, and this morning she's checking out appliances. Lauren, you're showing us around. Yeah, we're gonna show you some safety. Actually, I have Eric Seberg Seaburg appliances. We gotta get right to this because this is actually quite terrifying. Eric Rich. You're gonna take a knee, right. So what we have down here is our normal operation of a gas dryer. This one's a little bit of a dinosaur so we can actually take the lower panel off and see. But you have a flame in here. That's about this long. And what a lot of people don't know is this is happening in your dryer if you have a gas dryer at home or you have an electric dryer with a coil that gets just as hot. And what will happen under normal use. You actually get a layer of lint in here that is incredibly combustible and doing my normal service. I'll go out on a call for somebody who's dryer. Smells funny or isn't heating anymore and it'll actually have caught on fire and it's all Charred up inside there. And this is what, you know, is a hazard. It's not necessarily the vent itself that causes a lint fire. It's inside the dryer. So I always, you know, urge people to have this inspected by a technician. Don't just go with some company that's gonna clean your vent and get out of your house. You know, you want somebody to come and inspect the inside of your dryer and unfortunately, they don't all come apart as easily as this one with one single panel. Exactly. And I also want to add too, is that this is the top where you clean the lint. So even if that's clean on the bottom could still have lint full. Correct. Correct. So, when you do your services, what's, if someone's watching from home and they're interested, what range do you go? How far out do you go? So, we do a 25 mile radius from Manville. Um, basically all of Somerset County and, you know, half of the surrounding counties. Um, and, you know, we do full inspections, you know, we do, you know repairs and maintenance these as well. Um, I always do this when we're working on it for an issue, but I do tell people, hey, it's a good idea to either look at your manufacturer's specs which some can be 18 months, get this cleaned. People have no idea or every couple of years, you know, every three or four years, always a good idea, Eric. Thank you so much. I appreciate the time we got to get this thing shut off because we have an open flame. But thank you so much. My pleasure. Appreciate it. There you go. There's a reminder this morning. This is what main street, New Jersey is all about. Look at the support that you have here this morning. I mean, you have everyone, family, friends, other local businesses here. How does it feel to be here this morning? Amazing. Amazing. I help in Delicia gu You're amazing. You just started two months ago. Look at all this. Thank you for that. Open up your own business. We're so excited. Me and my wife. We're so excited. Yeah, we do so good. Yeah. How's the support? Oh, the families and friends, they support us so, so well, you know, we're so excited, you know, I mean, we, we wanna thank every everybody and you guys to be here, you know, to support us. Amazing Angelica. I heard you wanna drink bigger what, what the more of these, you love it here. Well, you wish what you sell. Uh Yes, if you wanna look at it so that this is what we're selling. We have the Chicharron Preo and uh Doris Locos uh Locos and we have all the, you know, like Mangonada. And um and you were telling me about mango Nara. Where is it authentic to do the, the mango mango chamoy, Tajin and Maaria de Tamarindo. This is the candy Mexican candy Mexican candy and we have our choco Mil Mexican choco milk. This is very traditional from uh back home. Uh This is very popular for uh Spanish people. Yeah. And everyone likes it. What, what are these like loco? This is this uh they call Cuito like a poor skin in uh in uh we use uh cheese and sour cream and you also have frozen yogurt here too. We have frozen yogurt in the other side. Please look at this. They have all the toppings. Yes, we have frozen yogurt here. You know, it's a self serve and if you guys wanna uh put all the toppings, we have candies and uh fruit in the other side. And uh what else do you have? Uh you want, I can show you how to Oh sure, sure. You want to make breakfast for everyone that's here. Yeah, we make a bar barbacoa and uh we have tamales here for uh Yeah. Yeah. Homemade for you guys for everybody, come on down here, look at all these that we got, ok, everyone in my ear in the newsroom is like, bring those home. And I'm down here guys, we're in this there, dude, it's something we're staying here. We're not going anywhere, don't worry.

Back to main street, New Jersey. Here on a Friday this morning we're in Manville, New South. New Jersey's Lauren do is eating good this morning. She's eating with the community to Lauren. Look at everyone here, I mean everyone is eating. This is probably the quietest that we've been all morning Alfredo delicious. And that's because you're from Mexico, from Oaxaca. So that's why we decided to put the delicious. And you know, you see all the furniture is come from Oaxaca too. That's how we are adding to the menu. You're gonna make some frozen yogurt. You get a lot of business from your Oh yeah, we get a lot of business. A lot of kids, a lot of, a lot of kids they because as a parent they have the yogurt and then you get the fruit. Yes. You know, you can get any flavor and then you can get any toppings. All right. How many flavors are we gonna add all the flavor? Four flavors? Yeah. What's your favorite flavor? Vanilla strawberry? Look at it. We got the uh you're just doing this for the community because everyone here is actually local businesses all supporting you you have a great community all day. You gotta go for the strawberry. This fruit looks really good too. I like it. This is amazing. We have bar can be, yeah, you gotta have the candy. I know. This is great. OK. She's loading it. Everyone's Eden. How's your breakfast this morning? Look at that. So we have uh Dorito Locos and T Locos and Chicharron de Pres. And we have uh like uh apple sala, uh parfait, uh Mango conch and we have uh or frozen yogurt. And of course we have a Mexican choco. Yeah, we got a, is it like a sweet and spicy? Yeah, sweet and spicy. Cha and Tajin and, and mango. OK. And how do you keep your avocado looking so green? And this is, this is pre we have uh lettuce, tomato, avocado cheese, sour cream and boy can get to check him out. You guys. Can I get a good morning, New Jersey. We're in Manville today. And here we are on a Friday. It's time for Main Street, New Jersey this morning. We're in Manville. Yeah, we've seen appliances, food, party supplies, collectibles. And now our Lauren do is checking out a computer support store. Lauren, we've seen it all. Simon Nick. We're having a great time in Manville this morning. John Holloway. You got two business cards here. HS Computer. What do these business cards do? We'll start with the big one. Right. Well, the big one is designed for senior citizens. Um, so they can see it very good and it, it points out what I do for the senior citizens. Um, full techno, full technology support. So that means if you have a problem with your car, which is a new car and it has the digital radio or you have a problem with setting up the TV or, um, or, or anything in between computers and cell phones, tablets. Um, I'm there for you. I understand that. Uh, you weren't growing up in the technology as, uh, my Children more and, um, a lot of Children were. So I'm here for you. Um, so this is what this card is designed for. Why is it so important for the elderly to be so involved in technology? Uh Every, they, they rely on it for everything. You have to rely on it for your medical, um your health benefits, uh your, your prescription plan. Um Any of the doctors, uh, shopping is also fun. So, yeah, and you wanna be alert to what danger is out there when you are shopping or when you are going on on uh to your doctor's portal or, or any of that. Um So it's good to know and be aware what's going on and have somebody you can come to for and then your phone goes ringing off. Th what's the other part of the business that is for the general public? Um I hand out the cars. I do computer repair and installation setups, uh printer set up. Um You name it and I do it for you and it looks like you got it in the store too. You literally have everything. We got a wide open computer there, John, thank you so much for having us this morning.
