According to a national magazine, Edison is the safest city in the country for women.

Self Magazine put the rankings together. The publication used data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Environmental Protection Agency and the FBI.

This isn?t the first achievement of national recognition for Edison. Last month, the city was ranked as the best place to raise children in the state of New Jersey by Business Week magazine. It has also been voted twice by Money magazine as a top place to live.
