Fire officials: Driver extricated from car following Lyndhurst crash

According to the Lyndhurst Fire Department, the driver of the car is expected to be OK.

Fire officials say a driver was pulled out of a car after a single car accident in Lyndhurst.

It happened Saturday just before 6 a.m. on the Route 17 north loop at Service Road. Photos shared on Facebook by the Lyndhurst Fire Department show the car flipped upside down and severely damaged.

According to fire officials, the driver of the car was taken to a nearby medical care facility with minor injuries and is expected to be OK.

The immediate cause of the crash was not clear.
