A Lufthansa flight was diverted to John F. Kennedy International Airport Monday evening after a threat was made against the airline.
Port Authority spokesman Steve Coleman says that Lufthansa Flight 441 was en route to Frankfurt, Germany when the corporate office received a threat against the aircraft.
The crew was alerted and the pilot diverted to JFK.
The plane safely landed around 8:15 p.m. in New York, and the passengers were evacuated.
Law enforcement officials are going over the plane to make sure that there is nothing suspicious inside.
Coleman says that there is no impact to the airport.
The flight originated from Huston, Texas.
